We work on some of the Bay Area’s most iconic spaces, and we’d like you to help us shape them!
Kate Keating Associates is seeking a motivated junior to mid-level environmental graphic designer to become a part of our energetic team. Our next hire will participate in all aspects of wayfinding and placemaking projects, from concept development through construction documents and construction administration. We hire people, not resumes, and welcome applicants from junior to mid-level experience!
We are a collaborative-based environmental graphic design firm in San Francisco with a team of 12 designers. We specialize in developing wayfinding and placemaking programs for public spaces, healthcare facilities, corporate and educational campuses, and parks. Our design approach is based on being responsive to the specific architectural and cultural context of each project, resulting in effective and individualistic design solutions.
KKA cultivates a positive, connected, open-studio atmosphere. Having worked closely over the course of many projects and years, we appreciate each other’s strengths and champion each other’s personal growth and responsibility. We encourage a healthy life-work balance and lighthearted atmosphere to support the long-term well-being of our staff and the firm.
We are looking for the following attributes in a candidate: excellent design and typographic skills, strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, accuracy, accountability, self-motivation, and the ability to work as an open and collaborative team member. While we prefer a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, we also invite architectural, interior, and industrial designers to apply. Candidates must be proficient in Apple Macintosh-based Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, with experience in FileMaker Pro, Revit, AutoCAD and CADTools a plus.
If you’re enthusiastic, focused, curious by nature, and enjoy having fun with your colleagues, please email us your cover letter, resume, and portfolio to firstname.lastname@example.org.
